How it Works

NPT Connections

The Air Mover is attached to the pipe using the standard National Pipe Threaded connection (multiple Air Movers may be needed depending on the situation).

Purge Extensions are connected to the top of the Air Mover, also using NPT, to raise the exit point of the gas to a safe above-ground height.

Air Flow

An inlet on the source pipe is needed to allow fresh air to be drawn through. Then, an air source is connected to the inlet pipe on the side of the device. We recommend a constant-flow air source.

The flow of air exiting from the top of the central inlet pipe creates a venturi-style effect that extracts any existing gas/air from the pipe. Combustible or harmful gases are drawn up and out of the Purge Extensions, continually replaced by fresh air from the inlet on the pipe.
